The Labor of Light
Within the arid deserts of Morocco, there are fields of trees that are hundreds of years old. Sprouting from these branches is what can be considered beauty’s most coveted export, Argan oil. For centuries, the indigenous women known as the Berber people, have been the backbone of its production. They begin by gathering the fallen Argan nuts that ripened naturally throughout the summer, and break them apart to extract the seeds. After amassing hundreds of seeds, they grind them into a paste, first kneading it and extracting the oil. Following its production, the oil comes directly from the Berber people and remains in its natural state - unaltered by chemicals or other ingredients - to Noor. It is then bottled in our dedicated facilities for you. From the desert in Morocco to your home, the journey of a few small Argan nuts serves as a beacon of light to woman laborers, a country - and a more radiant you.
